WordPress is while not question the best platform you'll be able to opt for for building a web site on these days. WordPress announced the first release candidate for version 2.9. You can see all the details here.
If everything goes as scheduled, they will release the full version 2.9 by the end of this week.
There are some really neat things in this new version. Particularly handling of images and updating things in bulk. This should really be a time saver.
Now of course as always with a new release, we will have to see what bugs pop up and if they stay on this schedule.

Well, another week has gone. They go faster and faster. I have been pretty busy this week. I have been putting up some more blogs with my new toy... Expert WordPress.
Boy am I impressed with this software. Alex Sysoef and Dmitriy Agadzhanov the two co-owners of Expert WordPress have really gone overboard to make this the best blog installer that I have ever seen.
They have a free version which I used for a while and it did a good job. With the free version you do have to download the installer and then upload to you domain, then run it and it will install your blog, install the theme and plugins. Then it will activate the pluigins and do some SEO tweaks.
