Well, I have been pretty busy this week trying some new plugins for WordPress.
I have started using Jeff Johnson's "Free Traffic-Getting SEO Plugin" to optimize my blogs for the search engines. I just started so I can't give you any results as far as traffic increases yet, but I will let you know how well it works in the weeks ahead.
I am using the the free version which does a pretty good job. You can get it here. The best I have been able to do with it is 77.4% optimized. But that is good considering most of my blogs were around 25% before I installed the plugin.

I just found a list of 100 Twitter applications that you can use to help with your Twitter chores.
I found it on Kelly Sonora's site about "The Best Online Colleges" at http://www.onlinebestcolleges.com/blog/

I was just over at Gobala Krishnan's Profitblogger blog and he has listed 23 WordPress plugins that work with Twitter.
As you probably know Twitter is very hot right now. There is a big demand for applications that intergate it with sites like Facebook, Youtube, and WordPress as well as others.
I have been using a WordPress plugin to to notify Twitter when there was a post on my blogs. But, I may have to change to the one Gobala is using. I will check it out and see which one I like the best.

Well I have upgraded all my blogs to the new WordPress Version 2.7. Everything when off without a hitch. I had absolutely no problems what so ever with the upgrade. I did use the "InstantUpgrade" plugin, which I had been using for serveral months. I only had one plugin that was not compatible "Simple Tags", and the software told me about it and I just simply deleted it. I didn't really use it much any way.

Well not a lot new for this past week. I have been reading and researching a lot about blog hackers this past week. I didn't know about some of the ways they can get into your blog.
I also thought that you would know if your blog had been hacked. But that is not necessarily true. Sometimes they just get in and add a lot of keywords and such to your footer or other parts of your blog and you never know it unless you have some means of detecting their presence. I have bought some software to make my blogs less prone to hacker getting in. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I will in the next few days.
